Sparta High School Gets Grade A in Evaluation
An evaluation conducted by a local publication gave Sparta High School a grade of "A" for its academic results over a four-year period.
The Inside Jersey public high school ratings published by The Star-Ledger/NJ.com show that Sparta High is one of three public high schools out of nine in Sussex County to achieve the "A" score, based on test scores and data from the New Jersey Department of Education reporting the High School Proficency Assessment results for language arts and math tests among the general population.
Schools were graded from "A" to "D," with Standard Aptitude Test (SAT) scores also weighted in. Sparta had an average SAT of 1,583, and its evaluation score of 342.9 was nearly level when compared to its score in the 2008 study.
