Dr. Robert Pampin of Sparta attended the March 5 board meeting of The Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) where he donated an electric bass guitar to the Isak Anderson Recording Studio at Sparta High School. After a patient of Dr. Pampin’s gave him the five-string Ibanez electric bass guitar, he restored it for use by the high school students.

Dr. Pampin is a family practice physician with Skylands Medical Group. He and his wife, Kelly, have two college age children who graduated from Sparta High School. The Isak Anderson Recording Studio is named in honor of Kylen and Tom Anderson’s son Isak, who was a dedicated musician and guitar player. Kylen Anderson is a Board of Education member and former President of the SEF.

Since 2006, the Sparta Education Foundation has funded over $1,026,600 in grants to all five of Sparta’s public schools. The Foundation is an all-volunteer, independent 501 (c) (3) NJ Non-Profit Corporation whose mission is to engage the entire community in philanthropic giving. Visit spartaeducationfoundation.org for more information about joining or volunteering.
