The Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) successfully hosted their Seventh Annual Wine and Craft Beer Tasting & Food Pairing fundraiser on Sunday, October 6. The event featured an assortment of gourmet food specially selected to pair with an assortment of wines and craft beers. This year’s event included live music by the Elisa Girlando Band, who donated their time and talent to the SEF.
“We were thrilled to celebrate the seventh year of this popular event,” said Donna West, President of the SEF. “Our co-chairs Donna Spinetta and Heather Egli did an outstanding job with everything from the raffles and decorations to selecting the excellent variety of wine, craft beer and food. The SEF would like to thank Opici Family Distributing and their suppliers for the wine selections for the tasting and the Liquor Factory in Sparta for their continued support and generous donations, and KRAVE Café + Caterers for their delicious food pairings. We also appreciate the Silent Auction item donated by the Russo family; J. Thomas Jewelers for their gift certificate donations; as well as generous donations from South Shore Outdoor, The Pour House, Krogh’s Restaurant and Brew Pub, St. Moritz Grill and Bar, Stone Water Restaurant, Tomahawk Lake Park, The Pampered Princess, Liberty Science Center, Garlic and Oil, Sussex County Community College Foundation and Sky View Golf Club. Many thanks also to Kylen and Tom Anderson for once again hosting this fundraiser in their beautiful home, and to all the guests, school administrators and educators who came out to support our public schools.”
Since 2006, the Sparta Education Foundation has funded over $1,067,000 in grants to all five of Sparta’s public schools.
