Strong community support for the Sparta Education Foundation (SEF) was demonstrated once again at the Foundation’s recent “A Night with the NJ Devils” fundraiser. On March 5, the SEF hosted this annual event for the second time. Although the NJ Devils lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets that evening, a fun time was had by all SEF supporters. A portion of each ticket sold went to the Sparta Education Foundation.
“We had a great turnout of about 75 people for this fun-filled event at The Prudential Center,” said Erik Hein, a Trustee of the Sparta Education Foundation. “After the game, our group went on the ice and took a shot at the goal. It was terrific to see all the supporters show up at the game and we thank them all for attending this memorable event.”
The Sparta Education Foundation strengthens public schools, supports teachers and inspires students. Since 2006, they have donated over $780,000 in grants to all five of Sparta’s public schools. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to engage the entire community in philanthropic giving.
